Levels of Health #1

Updated: Aug 5, 2021

Here we go. As per George Vithoulkas book Levels of health

There are 12 levels of health. Those levels are broken down into four groups. The further you go down in level of health the deeper the pathology. Meaning the more serious the health challenges are.

Group A is levels 1-3 This is the healthiest group Any disease in this group can be cured There is not a lot of disturbances in the organism (that’s the body and mind) They have short and sharp aggravations (meaning they are clearly sick and clearly well) They frequently can be healed with one remedy. And if they get sick they resonate to that same remedy often times. There is far less disorganization of the cell function to clear with this group of people. As a result extremely high doses can be used and given one time with great results. These people are uncommon.

Group B levels 4-6 This group gets frequent infections Some kids are a great example of this stage... they get chronically sick with frequent acute (cold after cold after cold) suppressing that all the time pushes them to group C where they rarely get sick.( this is where people frequently say they didn’t have any more issues after they grew up) what they mean is no more acute illness or infrequent colds and flu. If this is from building the immune function that is good but it’s generally because immune function has been pushed down not built up. It is normal for kids to get sick in order to build an immune system. These people recover but have many challenges with repeated colds and seem to catch everything that passes by. They generally need 2-5 remedies to get well. They can be given moderately high remedy doses and generally respond well just not immediately Majority of us fall in this category until pharmaceuticals have suppressed us to group C People suppress themselves into Group C because they are impatient with health and do not want to allow the body to work or give time to recover. For kids it’s not generally their belief but their parents hurry up natures and fears that actually make the kids sicker and sicker. By the time they reach teens or adults it’s a common pattern to medicate and they are now in Group C. Those adults in level C then parent kids that are sicker at birth than they were. With pathology that is more and more confused and harder to recover.

Group C is level 7-9 This is the most common group The cases are unclear and very easily confused These people have chronic inflammatory diseases They take the longest to see results Fairly low doses have to be given and repeated because the organism does not have enough energy to respond to high doses or reap the rewards of high doses. They can get better but it is 7-9 remedies over years not months. They can feel better along the way but it is a journey to raise the level of health. These people get very frustrated when level of health is raised and they start getting frequent colds. They generally then suppress the process instead of support and treat it and quickly fall back to group C. It’s a hard hole to climb out of. It’s as much of a misunderstanding as it is impatience.

Group D levels 10-12 This group is palliative care only. They have no ability to recover only maintain. They can feel better but the level of health cannot be raised. The clarity is on symptoms only, the disease process cannot be changed. Some people that have just dropped into level D can be pushed back to level C if they will work at it. The remedies are strictly to manage the symptoms and are frequently repeated daily for a long time.

High levels of health are prescribed on what is called keynotes. Those are markers that match the person and the remedy and make a picture that moves us towards resolution of a process. Pathology of the person is not generally considered. That means all the common symptoms that people want to consider (like it hurts here and my blood sugar is this and my blood pressure is that) do not matter as much. Those are acute markers and commonly used in pharmaceutical medicine but not always helpful to homeopathy. Things like (which side hurts more, do you prefer hot or cold weather, are your feet cold, do you sweat at night and if so where?) Those are things that lead to a correct remedy for people in the upper most levels of health.

When we get to level C and D we are frequently only looking at symptoms and physical markers to make things better. That is pathology only. Headache, not what kind of headache or how it feels but specifically where is it. Sick at stomach, constipated, etc. Very specific body functions.

A general prognosis is simple. What period has it been a problem, what are the aggravations, is it curable? This all comes in first consult. Or at least this is where we start. It takes people awhile to know how to give information and what matters. Most people are trained to give group D Information even if they are in group B. People want to share what they feel matters to the doctors that have previously interacted with. They want to try and make me comply with that process. Most do not simply want to learn how to do it my way. They want me to learn how to help them their way. Which can add to their frustration. It’s a fun process when people give in to learning and thinking differently. Pharmaceutical medicine only works in Group C & D.. this is how all that participate in this medical process are trained to think and solve health problems. and why it is so hard to get that group of people well. Even if they are not in group C or D.. They have been trained to only give health time when its an intrusion into what they want to do. Which is by far the worst time to acquire any lasting health. As a result Ill health looms over their entire life .. just waiting for the next great chaos or illness - or even death. with the belief holding out that there will be some amazing result and last ditch effort possible to solve something that needed time to prevent. These people are devastated when health crumbles and there is no solution.

The next question once people start looking at things a little bit differently and they want to know- is an aggravation expected? (An aggravation is hoped for). That would mean there is a higher level of health. And the remedy is correct. In general I try to start slowly with people because I know they have no idea what homeopathy is or how it works and if an aggravation occurs they will immediately go to the medical doctor as fast as they can and get antibiotics or pain pills or even surgery to stop the aggravation. They will not work through it with me.. the impatience in these situations is intense.. Even if it’s not an urgent need. They will never consider calling until after they do what is considered normal to them first. Many will be unprepared and still want instant results. Making things very hard. This place usually produces a lot of anger and some tears and frustration. If people will follow directions it is very helpful and most over reactions can be averted. I generally start very slow so we do not have over reactions.

Do people have to suffer to use homeopathy? Absolutely not. There are plenty of options to make things manageable to get people over a hump to a higher level of health.

We do not change remedies with every appointment. We are looking for markers to see if the expected path is happening or not. If a new remedy is on the horizon. Or if we are still working with the correct remedy. Do we need to repeat a remedy or wait or change? This is why the follow ups are so important.

A lot of this is based on where in the level of health someone actually is... That is found in the first appointment. Or at least a pretty good idea is discovered. The levels of health is a process that helps make sense of a person’s response to health challenges.

Keep in mind... All levels of health get can sick, have flu, get cancer, have a heart attack etc.. The difference is the potential for recovery. ... it is the full recovery that determines the ultimate level of health a person has, and the speed of recovery.

Has it stayed on the physical level or become an emotional or mental issue? (That is panic, anxiety, OCD and other such mental challenges that have to be dealt with to get to recovery). Physical illness is far more desirable than mental or emotional challenges which are deeper health positions (most people I work with arrive with a significant level or mental /emotional pathology that has to be managed before we can address more topical physical health challenges). It’s not a bad thing just a fact of life. We have to go in order and follow the body clues to get to the highest level of health possible.

Per Professor George Vithoulkas’ writings there are 12 levels of health.

For those that might not know Professor Vithoulkas is considered the most decorated homeopathic practitioners alive. He is credited with many books and awards and has many degrees in many areas. He currently resides in Alonisos Greece. He is almost 90 and is still going strong. You can read a lot more about his theories and practice in his books “Levels of health” and “The Science of Homeopathy”. He has been credited with the resurgence of homeopathy in the late 1970’s as a result of his writings and teachings. He is a very wise man that I am so honored to be learning from. His mind is quite amazing and his theories and views of the world very enlightening. His skill with homeopathy and bringing people to a place of a cure is so exciting to witness and inspires me to keep learning.
